FSA1The Food Standards Agency is the government department responsible for food safety and hygiene across the UK. They advise local authorities on how Environmental Health Officers should interpret and enforce food safety regulations as well as conducting research into food-related issues.

An excellent website with a wealth of food-related info. But no recipes.

The Health Protection Agency is now part of Public Health England, an executive agency of the Department of Health. Their brief is to work with national and local government, industry and the NHS to protect and improve the nation’s health and support healthier choices.

This is a plot to confuse microbiologists who can no longer find the links to Porton Down or Colindale.
