Rectofossal Ambiguity is the nom-de-blog of a semi-housetrained microbiologist who works principally in hygiene and infection control. He is sufficiently deluded to think people might actually be interested in his inconsequential gibbering about microbiology, food science and pseudoscience – just like he thinks that when he shouts at the wireless thinking someone at the other end is really listening.

“Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that THAT is the basic building block of the universe.” – Frank Zappa
